Hey Everybody!
The blog's been quite dead for a while so an UPDATE this time round!
So the team got 2nd place in the Beurel Debate Challenge behind Catholic High! It wasn't too bad. So Kudos to the team: Gillian, Holly, Aisyah, Vanessa and of course Chloe who'd helped us with all the trainings and everything!!

To those who didn't get to see us debate, here's the pairings that we got.

1st Preliminary:
Catholic High (Prop) VS Katong Convent (Oppo)

2nd Preliminary:
Katong Convent (Prop) VS St.Anthony's Canossian (Oppo)

3rd Preliminary:
SJI (Prop) VS Katong Convent (Oppo)

Semi-finals:
SJI (Prop) VS Katong Convent (Oppo)

Grand Finals:
Katong Convent (Prop) VS Catholic High (Oppo)

So we won the 2nd, 3rd and semi rounds!!! Pity we didn't get to go against SJII and St.Pats but it's all good!!

The Debating and Oratorical Society was formed in September 2005.
This club allows students to participate in debates during their trainings and learn more about matters concerning the world.
The topics we discuss range from social to political matters and we also organise camps during our holidays.
The club allows students to participate in Annual Debating Championships and Competitions.
